1535 nm Erbium-Glass Lasers

LZ1535 series · 10 µJ to 1 mJ

Passively Q-switched erbium-glass microchip lasers in a rugged, hermetically sealed package. TEM00 output at 1535 nm from 10 µJ at 5 kHz to 1 mJ at 10 Hz, with pulse widths of 3 – 5 ns and a beam divergence of ≤ 11 mrad. This is the single highest-value line we carry — and the one competitors cannot easily match on price.

  • 1535 nm, TEM00 beam, full-angle divergence ≤ 11 mrad
  • Single-pulse energy from 10 µJ to 1 mJ
  • Repetition rate from 10 Hz to 5 kHz
  • Pulse width 3 – 5 ns on the 10 Hz range, 5 – 8 ns on the high-rate range
  • Compact rectangular packages from 14.4 × 8 × 5 mm
  • No temperature controller required — passively Q-switched
  • Six configurations ship with a released LumeLiDAR specification document

Configurations

Expand a group to see the model table. All powers are peak pulse power at 25 °C unless the table states otherwise.

Standard repetition rate — 10 Hz

The long-range workhorses. Passively Q-switched, eye-safe at 1535 nm, with a beam divergence low enough to put useful energy on a target several kilometres away. Package diameter is the only mechanical variable.

Typical applications

Where this family is usually designed in:

Defense & Aerospace EO

Every LZ1535 laser is quoted together with its matched driver module and, where required, a pulse signal generator. Because these are passively Q-switched solid-state devices rather than semiconductor emitters, they are outside the scope of the semiconductor-laser-diode entries in most dual-use lists — but the end use of each shipment is verified before we release it.

Send us the specification you need to hit.

Wavelength, peak power, package and annual volume is usually enough for us to quote — and to say whether a sample is available from stock.
